Having studied Agriculture in the UK and travelling the world Alison settled in the Pilbara Region of WA managing a cattle station with her husband until, in 1995, Alison moved to Geraldton and began working for St John of God Hospital (SJOGH) as part of the reception team in Radiology.
When the Radiology business was sold by SJOGH Alison stayed on at the newly established Geraldton Radiology in an administration role. Over the years she went on to complete studies in Professional Practice Management galvanising a move from Reception Desk to Senior Management. In 2014 Alison was asked to take a leading role in the business as General Manager.
Since 2014 Alison has worked closely with The Directors, Senior Management, Staff and all Stakeholders to ensure the highest level of Radiology services are provided to the Geraldton and Mid-West Region.
Assistant General Manager
Carly joined the reception team at Geraldton Radiology in 2002 after utilising a scholarship studying administration at Olympia Business College. In the following years Carly further developed her skills becoming an integral part of the team.
With a passion for customer service and Radiology service provision Carly advanced her career further by taking on financial and book keeping roles within the practice before being appointed Assistant General Manager in 2017.
Carly is currently undertaking further Business studies and continues to work closely with The Directors, Senior Management, Staff and all Stakeholders to ensure the highest level of Radiology services are provided to the Geraldton and Mid-West Region.
Administration Operations Manager
With a career in medical reception and administration spanning over 25 years Gaylene brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Geraldton Radiology. Having worked in a variety of roles in both public and private practice within New Zealand, The United Kingdom and Australia Gaylene has developed an extensive skills base allowing her advancement within the sector.
Having initially joined the team at Geraldton Radiology in 2004 as a medical receptionist, Gaylene moved in 2013 to undertake a practice management role at a local medical clinic. In 2017 Gaylene returned to Geraldton Radiology as Administration Operations Manager.
Gaylene continues to work closely with the Directors, Senior Management and other stakeholders of Geraldton Radiology to ensure the company meets and exceeds the highest possible customer service standards for patients and referrers alike.
Chief Radiographer & IT Manager
Andrew Hopkins – BSc (Hons) Medical Imaging
With an electronics engineering background Andrew established and ran a small business in the UK designing and building ultra-high performance computers for niche audio visual markets. In 2003 he began study at Canterbury University graduating in 2006 with a BSc (Hons).
Over the following years Andrew advanced his career from radiographer to MRI radiographer and Chief Radiographer across multiple private and public facilities in the UK. With extensive experience in implementing MRI safety and training procedures Andrew was recruited to Geraldton Radiology in 2010 to develop and implement safety and procedural processes prior to the installation of the facility’s MRI.
Since that time Andrew has gone on to implement multiple technology upgrades at Geraldton Radiology to improve our digital security and increased scalability going into the future and is now the Chief Radiographer, IT manager and Radiation Safety Officer of the practice as well as being the Radiation Safety Officer for The St John Of God Health Care Campus Geraldton. Andrew continues working closely with the Directors, management and other stakeholders to ensure the highest level of Radiography and MRI services are provided to the Geraldton and Mid-West Region.
Courtney Warr – BSC MEDICAL IMAGING, PG DIP MEDICAL ULTRASOUND
Courtney Graduated from Curtin University of Technology under scholarship from The WA Country Health Service (WACHS) with a Bachelor of Science (Medical Imaging) and went on to work for WACHS as a radiographer and trainee sonographer. Under SARRAH scholarship he continued studying at the University of South Australia graduating with a Post Graduate Diploma of Medical Ultrasound.
Initially Courtney joined the team at Geraldton Radiology in 2007 and in 2010 he established an independent Medical Ultrasound Service. This saw him spend several years providing specialist ultrasound services to public and private practices in major cities and regional centres throughout Australia.
In 2013, Following a short contract with Geraldton Radiology, Courtney was recruited to the role of Chief Sonographer.
Courtney continues to work closely with the Directors, management and other stakeholders of Geraldton Radiology to ensure the highest level of medical ultrasound services are provided to the Geraldton and Mid-West Region.
